LiteGait®

The Union Hospital Foundation has recently purchased the LiteGait® for Pediatric Therapy Services. LiteGait® is a walking device that will control weight bearing, posture, and balance while over a treadmill or ground. The LiteGait® will provide full support for the patient, freeing the therapist to facilitate the correct walking pattern. The LiteGait® allows us to work on walking with children that would previously be unsafe to walk with secondary to the patients' impairments. This device also allows our physical therapist to teach proper walking patterns in children who can ambulate, but not with the appropriate pattern. The LiteGait® is versatile allowing therapists to also work on standing balance and creeping on hands and knees.
