The Benefits of Splinting
 When an extremity is injured or disabled, all or part of its ability to function may be lost. To aid in recovery, a splint is often applied. Splints are fabricated on-site from moldable plastic materials. They are prescribed for positioning or to improve function. Splints also provide protection to the extremity.
