Patient Satisfaction

We are very proud of the quality of the services offered in Union Hospital Medical Rehabilitation and are continually striving for ways to make our programs and services even better. You are important in helping us to accomplish this. Any comments, complaints or suggestions you may have will assist us in making our program the best it can be. We ask your help in this process by participating in the following:

  • A satisfaction survey will be provided prior to discharge. You may return this survey to staff, place in a drop box or send via mail.
  • Three months after you are discharged, a nurse will contact you by telephone. The nurse will ask questions about the types of activities with which you need assistance.

Union Hospital Medical Rehabilitation also takes pride in our hospitality and the quality of our patient services. If you have any complaints about our services, the following protocols are designed to provide you with additional input into the program as well as to assist you with satisfactorily resolving any problems.

  • Please bring any complaints about services to our attention by informing any member of the staff or the unit management.
  • If you feel your problem has not been resolved after the meeting with unit management, an appointment will be scheduled for you with the Vice President of Patient Care Services to discuss your concerns.
  • If you have a concern with a decision made by your interdisciplinary team, you may file a grievance with the physician. The physician will follow an established policy to review your concern and report back to you.

We hope that by dealing with your concerns in a timely fashion, we can ensure the best outcomes for all our patients and their families.
