Rehabilitation Classes

All classes meet in the Cardiac Rehabilitation classroom.

Dietary Class: This class meets the second Thursday of every month at 2 p.m. A registered dietician reviews diet and nutritional information for cardiac patients and families.

Spouse Support Class: Union Hospital Cardiac Rehabilitation has organized a monthly support group designed for the spouse and family of cardiac patients. This group helps people learn how to help and assist the cardiac patient in the family. All meetings are on the third Thursday of every month at 2 p.m. For more information, please contact (812) 238-7578.

Pharmacy Class: This class meets the last Thursday of every month at 2 p.m. A Union Hospital Pharmacist reviews cardiac medications, actions and side effects with patients.

Stress Class: Certified Exercise Technologist Barbara Wiggins allows patients and family members to discuss the stress brought on by a cardiac event and provides information on how to handle and relieve stress. This class meets every Tuesday at 2 p.m.

Smoking Cessation Class: This 8-week course teaches patients and the community about different techniques on how to kick the habit. The class costs $20 per person. For information on when the next session will begin, please call (812) 238-7578.
