Our Cardiac Cath Lab served 4,375 patients during 1999 - 2000.

Union Hospital's Cardiac Rehabilitation was the first clinic of its kind in the Wabash Valley. Cardiac Rehabilitation served a total of 13,927 patients in 1999-2000.

Union Hospital's Cardiac Catheterization Lab was the first in the Wabash Valley to treat patients using IVUS, rotoblator and angiojet.

Our Cardiac Surgery Department was the first in the Wabash Valley to utilize Abiomed, a temporary support device for patients in cardiogenic shock. It is an external device connected to the heart chamber through the chest wall and assists the heart in delivering the needed blood supply to the rest of the body.

First and only EP- Electrophysiology Lab, which opened in 1999.
