The Clara Fairbanks Center for Women offers diagnostic and screening mammograms, as well as breast ultrasound. Diagnostic or problem-focused Mammograms usually are scheduled by your primary care physician, or you can call 238-7766 to schedule a screening mammogram.

Screening mammograms will take about 15 minutes. Diagnostic mammograms, which focus in on a specific problem, take roughly 30 to 45 minutes to complete.

The results of your mammogram can be obtained from your doctor. A consultation with the radiologist is available upon request.

Breast Ultrasound, available only with a physician's order, takes roughly 10 to 15 minutes to complete. A consultation with the radiologist is available upon request. Results will be sent to your doctor in 5 to 7 working days.

In addition to breast health services, we provide bone densitometry scans. The bone densitometer helps physicians diagnose osteoporosis, estimate the risk of fracture and monitor the effects of therapy. The results of the test, which takes approximately 15 minutes, should be available from your referring doctor within 5 to 7 working days.

Clara Fairbanks is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. We offer extended hours on Tuesdays, from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
