Lugar Center Congratulates Brooke Lockhart
Union Hospital's Richard G. Lugar Center for Rural Health would like to welcome Brooke Lockhart to our team of outstanding
professionals. Brooke joins the Center with a Master's in Health Administration from The Ohio State University. Brooke
focused on Health Services Management and Policy during her time in Ohio. Brooke's undergraduate degree in healthcare
management is from Southern Illinois University. She most recently worked for IU School of Medicine developing rural
medical education opportunities for medical students. The entire team at the Lugar Center is excited to have Brooke on
board. On behalf of Union Hospital and it's Lugar Center, congratulations!!!
Lugar Center Telemedicine Program featured on local news
It's called Telemedicine, and it's quickly changing the face of treatment in the Wabash Valley. With it, doctors and nurses
can treat patients in different cities. Union Hospital's Lugar Center was featured on local TV for its Live Telemedicine program.
Stephanie Laws and Linda Lewis were interviewed for this story which aired on WTHI Tv last week.....

Brenda Church retiring
The Richard G. Lugar Center for Rural Health bid farewell to its "Distinguished Hoosier" and Associate Director, Brenda Church,
on Friday, October 2nd, 2009. Brenda is retiring after 15 years of service. Brenda Church is a true champion for rural health

Local community leaders in health and human services recently met, on August 14, 2009, at the Landsbaum Center to
assess the performance of Vigo County’s local public health system. This initiative brought together the diverse
individuals and organizations that work to protect and improve the health of people in Vigo County and serves as a
means to assess the strengths and weaknesses of the “system.”....

Clay City's 4th Annual "Mayberry Classic" Results
The fourth annual Mayberry Classic kicked off on July 11, 2009 at 8:30 a.m. at Goshorn Park in Clay City. Close to 70 participants
